The SEMA Show runs November 2–5, 2027 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, across all halls plus the outdoor lots, with roughly 160,000 total registrants and more than 2,400 exhibitors. If you are putting a vehicle in your booth, the vehicle drives the entire design and everything else is built around it.
What a vehicle display actually requires
Ramp geometry for lowered vehicles, platform structure sized to the actual curb weight, turntable load paths, vehicle access into the hall, spotting time, lighting that renders paint honestly, graphics that do not compete with the car, and a build sequence in which the vehicle enters before the structure closes around it. Getting any one of those wrong on site is expensive and usually unfixable within the move-in window.
Vehicle move-in at SEMA runs on its own schedule ahead of general freight and is spotted by the general contractor. Fuel-level and battery-disconnect rules apply. Floor loading has to be checked against the Las Vegas Convention Center's 450 pounds per square foot ground-level rating — and the South Hall upper level drops to 300, which is the number that matters if your space is up there.
Turntables and platforms
A turntable puts the vehicle in motion, which is what pulls people across an aisle, but it brings a load path, a drive mechanism, a power requirement and a safety perimeter with it. A raised platform lifts the vehicle into sightline over the crowd and gives you a clean edge to light from. Ramp angle is the detail that catches people: a ramp that works for a stock vehicle will scrape a lowered one, and the fix is a longer ramp, which costs floor area you may not have.
Ceiling and rigging
Ceiling clearance at the Las Vegas Convention Center is not uniform — North Halls 1 and 2 reach 35 feet, North 3 and 4 reach 33, the air-wall track drops to 28 and below the second level to 12; Central 1 is 25, Central 2 is 20, Central 3 through 5 reach 35; South 1 is 25, South 2 is 30 and South 4 is 25. If a hanging sign is part of the plan, that number has to be confirmed against your assigned space before anything is fabricated.
Teamsters hold jurisdiction over unloading and reloading, material-handling equipment and the install, dismantle and first cleaning of prefabricated exhibits. Your own full-time staff may work the booth with employment proof and photo ID but may not use tools of any type at any booth size. We place the labor call.
